About “MIP”

We trade paper for local consumption and export locally manufactured paper or re-export paper to our clients in adjacent MENA markets.

With two facilities in the outskirts of Cairo – ElObbour City of 13,000 square meters providing conversion capacity of 35,000 Tons per annum. Our machines can handle paper reels up to 171cm wide, 350 GSM and up to 2.2 MT each.

Eng. Mohamed Mahmoud El Sayed

Founder and CEO

Mr. Mohamed holds a BSc. In Electrical Engineering. He started his career as Sales and Maintenance Engineer for Xerox the giant manufacturer of office printing and copying equipment. After a rather short period of time he started his own business in 1995 founding the 1^st company of the group “Translloyd M. Mahmoud and Co.” , in 2004 the inception of Masr International Paper “MIP” took place as a Simple Partnership Company, in 2021 MIP changed its legal structure to an Egyptian Joint Stock Company. In 2022 the group created an arm in the United Arab Emirates under the name of Emerald Paper Trading FZ-LLC with a continuing commitment to providing quality paper products to suit its customers every need.

Eng. Hamdy Mohammed Salem

Co Founder and COO

Mr. Hamdy Salem Graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1989 from Cairo University , after completing military services he joined Schlumberger the world's largest oilfield services company in 1992 as a trainee engineer and climbed the management ladder reaching the position of Middle East and Asia Vice president and subsequently global sales and commercial director for the Integrated Drilling Services product line. After 3 decades in Schlumberger he decided to retire from Oil and Gas and focus on the family business that he co found with the CEO and invested in over the years.
